Lapis worked with agriculture consulting company Data Farming to develop a platform enabling farmers to use satellite imagery to calculate and display normalised difference vegetation index (NDVI). As a result farmers can monitor crop growth and vigour, and inform variable rate fertiliser application.
Data Farming brings together deep agricultural knowledge and a number of new and emerging technology capabilities to deliver fast, cost effective and highly informative data products.
Attract investment in agriculture
To encourage Victorian agriculture innovation investment, Lapis was commissioned by the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions to design and develop a new website to promote investment in the sector, to local and international investors.
