KM2ME Mobile Application

Lapis developed a new, user-friendly mobile application KM2ME to support ARTC staff in managing maintenance activities across the rail network. The GPS-based solution is embedded with up-to-date data references to assist users in accurately locating their position along the rail network, and allows users to track and record maintenance works at their precise location.

For the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA), Lapis developed the eCatch reporting mobile app that has transformed commercial fisheries catch and effort reporting from a monthly paper-based data collection process to a fully automated, modern mobile application that delivers information immediately. This system now provides end to-end reporting, streamlining the recording of catch and effort and commercial fish landed and improved compliance reporting.

RIDonline is a fully offline capable and responsive web app that allows the NSW citizens to report illegal dumping to NSW EPA. The platform has a comprehensive ‘private’ mode that allows the EPA and related authorities to manage the reported incidents with full case management capabilities along with comprehensive user management and reporting. The app is available here and can be accessed from mobile and desktops.

Vicmap Viewer

Lapis developed an app bringing together authoritative government data in an easy-to-access mobile environment. The app makes it convenient for emergency services and individuals to download topographic maps on a mobile device, with offline viewing capability to provides users access to topographic maps anywhere, anytime. A HTML5 hybrid framework was adopted for improved performance.

Whale Report Sightings and Alert System

Lapis was engaged by the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre to develop a solution that provided a simple and powerful tool for submitting sighting reports, while taking advantage of mobile device functionality such as camera and GPS. In addition to understanding the Whale behaviour this sightings data was required to alert the ships in the vicinity of the sightings to avoid collision.
